November News

In November, QLD saw many clubs finishing up for the year with presentation days, showcases and concerts. We had 167 pupils present for the Calisthenics Skills Exams and our Junior and Intermediate State Team members were also announced.  Many of our club representative teams began performing out in our wide South Eastern Queensland communities for end of year celebrations and one of our performance teams is preparing to head to the USA.

CAQI were very excited this month to announce the members of our Junior and Intermediate State Teams for the 2020 Nationals in Darwin.

Calisthenics Skills Exams 

We had 167 pupils present for the exams this year, from some of our youngest members doing their first ever exams in Test 1, to our more experienced members participating in Bronze and Silver Medal Exams. Exams were held across the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with many pupil’s participating in the skills program for the very first time, as they begin their Calisthenics journey.

Team Heading to the USA

Helensvale Calisthenic Dance Academy, situated on the Gold Coast, are heading to the USA. They have been working all year in preparation for this exciting trip of a lifetime and will be Dancing at Disneyland, Universal Studio’s, Citadel Shopping Complex and performing in the famous Christmas Disney Parade.  The HCDA USA 2019 tour includes participants aged from 7 – 61,  highlighting pupils from all age groups.

Dad’s Do It Too!

It’s great to see all our clubs getting involved in team spirit, particularly when it’s our male supporters. Thanks for getting into the Cali spirit Dad’s!
