Calisthenics Queensland Ltd is pleased to open nominations for elected Director positions ahead of the October 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Four elected Director positions are available for a two year term (2026 - 2028).  This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of calisthenics in Queensland and help guide the organisation into the future. We’re looking for people across a diverse range of backgrounds who are passionate about community sport, are looking to make a positive impact and who have experience across one or more of the following areas:

·         Grants and government relations (in particular, local government)

·         IT and digital systems

·         Marketing and communication

·         Risk, compliance & governance

·         Broader strategic, financial or organisational leadership

As a Director, you’ll play a key role in supporting the strategic direction of Calisthenics Queensland, the estimated time commitment is between 4 - 7 hours per week. If you have availability, relevant experience and a commitment to supporting our sport and its future, we’d love to hear from you. As per our Constitution, please see below eligibility of Directors.

To be eligible to hold office as a Director, a person must:

·         Hold a current Queensland Blue Card

·         Be nominated by a Member of the Company (i.e. a club)

·         At all times, a majority of the Board must be members of Member Clubs or Represented Club

·         Not be not be disqualified from managing corporations

There must be no more than two Directors related to a single Member or Represented Club holding office as a Director at any one time. For the purposes of this clause, a Director will be related to a Club when:

(i) A Director is a coach at a Member Club or Represented Club;

(ii) A Director is the parent of a student who participates at a Member Club;

(iii) A Director enrolled at a Member Club or Represented Club;

(iv) A Director is a member or officeholder of a Member Club or Represented Club.
